Washington and beer go together like macaroni and cheese; it’s a match made in heaven! If you ask us, the perfect weekend here at CityZen involves hanging out at one of our favorite breweries on a sunny day with a delicious order of food. Luckily, there are some amazing breweries in Kent, so you don't need to travel far.
If you’re new to the area or looking to refresh your memory on what’s nearby, we’ve compiled our favorites close to our community!

One of our all-time favorite breweries (and the closest to home) is Airways Brewing, as we mentioned in our first-ever introductory blog post, Your Guide to Kent, Washington! While they have a bistro/beer garden and a taproom/brewery, the former is less than 10 minutes away from our community in downtown Kent!
Between their food menu and their full drink list, you’ll have dozens of options when you visit their beer garden. While they have a great beer list of their own, they also offer cocktails (both chilled and hot) if you’re going with a non-beer drinker! Sip away on some of the best brews in Kent on their expansive patio soon. Consider joining their Mug Club if you plan to go a lot!

“Visit” New Orleans without leaving Kent by heading to Geaux Brewing! While their menu is a little more limited in terms of non-beer options, this is the city’s largest production brewery and taproom.
A somewhat unexpected perk of this brewing company? It’s just north of the airport! You can easily grab some beers before a flight or sit back, relax and watch some planes fly overhead or a big game on TV. Their $15 flights alone are worth the trip!

If you’re looking for a solid Kent staple made with 100% local ingredients, consider checking out Four Horsemen! They have great outdoor seating and an awesome beer list. Don’t leave without getting some sliders, a tasting flight and a growler refill! This gem is less than 10 minutes from your CityZen apartment and right next to some gorgeous greenery if you want to make a day of it and go on a hike beforehand!
Not a fan of beer? Seattle Kombucha Company is a great alternative, located at Pike’s Place Market. If you want to take it up a notch, sign up for their Kombucha 101 Masterclass to learn how to brew your own at home! Tag us in your favorite breweries on Instagram (@cityzencommons) or let us know what they are in the comments! Cheers!
